About Medetal
MED et al Development Corporation offers a new approach
to treat habitual (chronic) thumb sucking with their innovative
product - ThumbGuard™ (T-Guard™).
Listed by the U.S. FDA as a medical device, ThumbGuard™
has helped thousands of children to stop this, often damaging,
oral habit within one month.
Why was the product developed?
Medetal was looking for a complete redesign of their website
along with provision for users to buy their product online.
They also wanted to integrate the details of the order placed
on their website into various different software installed
on their local system for administrative purposes.
Hence the solution offered to Medetal is broadly broken
up into two different modules.
First module being an online shopping website to provide
the users with the option to buy Medetal products online
as well as track their order online using the order tracking
system.
The second module will be the integration module which would
provide the Administrator of Medetal to mange the following
tasks:
- Transfer orders information from online server to their
local system for processing the orders.
- Batch processing of the credit card payments for the
orders placed on the website using a software named “PC
TransasctIT” for payments.
- Make the sales entry into their accounting package –
“Peachtree”
- Make entry of the order pickup into the UPS Shipping
software to schedule pickup of the order packets with
UPS.
This complete process is automated using an integration
framework so that the administrator at Medetal does not
need to make the entries of same order record into various
different softwares that are already in use for their specific
requirements thus making the complete process of selling
products online an easy go.
